Historical facts

Gepa Motos S.A.

Patrick Geladé and Roger Pourcel, GPKR owners

Starting as a Kawasaki dealer in 1988 (it is still active now !), Gepa quick begun one year later a complementary race activity with Kawasaki in national road racing championships

Since then nearly every year Gepa won one or more national or international titles for KMB ( Kawasaki Motor Belgium) in different activities: road racing , endurance , jet-ski and motocross.

In 2000 as his business was growing Patrick Geladé decided to move over to another place and built a new building of 1250 m2 to welcome Honda and Aprilia alongside Kawasaki .

After the tragically lost of his son during a MX race in 2004 M.Geladé retired a few months from racing activities. Then he met in his shop M.Pourcel, who came regularly to collect parts for his sons racing the word championship, and introduced M.Bayle who was looking for a new workshop. They reached in November an agreement for the 2005 season.

Gepa doesn't sell only motorcycles, they also have all accessories and work with companies like ARAI, UFO, SHARK, SMITH, DID…… and many others that support their national team for many years (some of them are giving support for 15 years !).

Pourcel family

Roger Pourcel

Roger Pourcel was a hobby crosser and naturally when his kids where in age to ride a bike they started on a Kawasaki KX60 in 1992 (Sebastien) and 1996 (Christophe). Sebastien became 60cc French champion in 1995 and got other titles such as French 125cc junior champion (2001), while Christophe won several 85cc French championships (2001-2002-2003).

In 2001 the kids got a new sponsor: Freeman T.Porter, a clothing company. One year later they got the support from Moto Evasion (UFO, SMITH, MOTO MASTER, VERTEX and all the products imported in France by the company).

In 2003 Sébastien joined the TSM team (using at that time Yamaha motorcycles and Shot clothings) to race the 125 European Championship. M.Pourcel asked M.Bayle to use Kawasaki (they reached an agreement with Mr Bassaler from KMF) and the Pourcel sponsor's (Freeman and Moto Evasion) followed Sébastien to support this new team.

In 2004 Sebastien and TSM raced the MX2 World championship (he finished 12 th ) and after the 125 European championship Christophe joined the team at mid-season to race the last Grands Prix (he finished 33 rd ).

As Christophe and Sébastien had a two years contract they started in 2005 a second season with TSM in the MX2 World Championship (they finished 5 th and 25 th ). But during the season financial and relational problems came over, and Roger Pourcel decided to prepare a project for the future with his own team. He got the support of Jan De Groot, Gepa motos and Kawasaki Europe, keeping alongside his historical partners.
